>Nate Higgers was, by all accounts, an average soyteen.
>He leaked at bait, he sometimes participated in raids, and had his fair share of faildoxxes on literalwhos that never went everywhere. He created some OC that was never used, and created, and subsequently attempted to force, a nuvariant that would never catch on.
>He was browsing the sharty at 1 AM like usual, reppeying to bait, making shitty meta threads, and overall wasting his day, when suddenly, a thread caught his eye.
>The thread, which had IDs enabled, was about a mysterious board named "/giga666/". Nate knew of the hidden board >>>/giga5/ , and its previous incarnations, but he didn't know a new version was out.
>Desperate to steal one of the early sub 100 GETs, he inputted "soyjak.st/giga666/index.html" into the searchbar. A 404. Weird.
>He decided to actually read the thread, and the reppeys mostly consisted of other soyteens in the same scenario as him, calling the thread bait.
>There was, however, also a sizable chunk of unique IDs talking about how the board made them feel sick and unwell.
>This stoked his curiosity, enough for him to lurk within the thread and wait for something to happen.
>Sure enough, after 6 minutes of people doubting the board's existence, a link was posted, claiming to be the actual link to the board.
>Nate, after reading "soyjak.st/" at the beginning of the URL, clicked immediately.
>He was greeted by at first a black, blank page.
>He clicked and pressed every button on his keyboard, but nothing happened. He double checked to see if the URL was actually a sharty domain, and he didn't just get his IP grabbed.
>Weirdly enough, the URL was legitimately a sharty domain, beginning with soyjak.st, but followed with /XkbnbbrenPrpjzdxcrwpmrbxamnaCnbcPaxdy3.php.
>Right before he was about to close the tab and check on the thread, the screen began flashing at incredibly quick speeds while playing some frequency in his ears.
>After being frozen by shock for a second, he closed the tab merely 2 seconds after the audio and the flashing lights began occuring. He didn't know that those 2 seconds already spelled the end of him.
>He immediately checked the thread, frantically typing an incomprehensible ESL wall of text to describe the things he saw, but he couldn't post. He refreshed the tab, and the thread was deleted.
>He scrambled to get back to index to make a thread about what he saw, but only 3 seconds after he posted it, it was deleted, and he was banned for 8 hours for "No reason".
>Weirded out and confused, Nate decided to pack it up for the night, and went to sleep.

>When he woke up the next morning, he thought the events of the night before were some weird dream. Checking bans.php, his ban wasnt there, and the jannies in the IRC corroborated that he hadn't been banned at all yesterday.
>He began browsing the sharty like usual, but this time, something felt a bit off. He started gigaquoting a little bit more, and he instinctively started saving gigachads. He chalked this behavior up to actually having 8 hours of sleep, for once.
>But as time went by, these occurrences became harder and harder to explain. 3 days after the incident, he started gigaquoting nearly everything, not because he found it ironically funny or agreed with the statement, but because it had become the norm for him, routine, even.
>9 days after the incident, The thoughts to gigaquote became less like routine and more like a deep craving. He would also see gigaquotes apparently posted by him which he had no collection of posting, even during seemingly impossible hours, like when he was doing something else. He began seeing gigaquotes in the reply function that he didn't write which he saw when he scrolled to the top of the thread.
>12 days after the incident, his cravings to gigaquote had become uncontrollable. He would wake up in the middle of the night, hands on his laptop, posting gigaquotes in sharty threads. This was the time he tried seeking professional help. The doctors at the Soyslum simply laughed off his symptoms, but he did catch a doctor murmuring "another pedo trying to larp as having a fake disease, geg!".
>14 days after the incident, the thought of posting gigachads occupied his mind, even at school. He would answer questions with hypothetical gigaquotes accidentally, which made him a popular target for bullying in school.
>17 days after the incident, he had began tying himself up as he slept, blocking off his laptop by locking the door in keys only his conscious self would know. Still, he would wake up with his hands on his laptop and hundreds of threads filled with gigaquotes he did not make. He had stopped using the sharty recreationally 4 days ago.
>28 days after the incident, in a desperate attempt to find a cure, he tried to make a simple soyquote. With all his willpower to avoid gigaquoting every post on the 'log, and he damn near cut his own hand off trying to stop it from selecting a gigachad as the file to be attached to the post.
>The post was incredibly simple. A simple soyquote saying ">grooming minors is le good", attached with an image of the most basic tranny 'jak, the hanging bernd troonella variation. He double, triple checked to make sure the file was not a giga.
>His body had started fighting him at this point, it kept trying to delete the troonella and replace it with a gigachad, but his will was steel and he managed to click the post button before his body could add a giga.
>The image was MPA, but he immediately felt his cravings to gigaquote go away. Had he done it? Had he finally beaten this sick disease?
>He started crying tears of joy. His body had stopped moving on his own. It felt like it was his again.
>He cried so much he could barely see the image was approved.
>It was a giga.
