What is doctos.party?

An anonymous imageboard about Doctos. You don't need an account: pick a board, make a thread or reply to one.

Why does my image say "Media Pending Approval"?

Every new file has to be approved by a janitor before anyone can see it. Your post and its text show up immediately; the picture or video appears as soon as a janitor approves it. Once a file has been approved, anyone who posts that exact same file later gets it shown instantly.

My file got rejected, or I get "That file has been banned."

Rejected files are banned so they can't be posted again. Read the rules.

What can I upload?

Up to 4 files per post, 15 MB each: JPG, PNG, GIF, WEBP and WEBM (and MP4 when the server supports it). Location data (EXIF/GPS) is removed from photos automatically. Tick "Spoiler Image" to hide a thumbnail behind a spoiler.

How do I format my post?

Can I use a name?

No. Everyone posts as DOCTOS. Only janitors and the admin can post with a name.

How do I delete my post?

Every post saves a password (it's filled in for you). Tick the box next to your post, then use "Delete" at the bottom of the page. Tick "File" to delete only the file.

How do polls work?

When you start a thread, put 2 to 8 options in the "Poll" box, one per line. Everyone gets one vote per poll, and the results show up after you vote. Polls close when a thread is locked.

Why can't I post with my VPN?

Posting (and voting in polls) from VPNs, proxies and Tor is blocked so banned users can't simply switch IPs. You can still read the site. Turn the VPN off to post. If you think your normal connection is blocked by mistake, email the address below.

Why is there a captcha?

Only when you start a new thread, to keep bots out. Replies don't need one.

What are IDs and flags?

/r/ and /q/ show a poster ID that stays the same for you within a thread. /qa/ and /q/ show a country flag based on your IP address.

Who are the janitors?

Volunteers the admin invited. They approve media, handle reports, delete rule-breaking posts and ban people. Everything they do (without names or IPs) is listed in the public janitor log, and bans are listed on the ban list.
