You were not born hating strangers.

At some point, someone convinced you that your fear was strength. That anger was identity. That cruelty meant courage. They told you the world was taking something from you - your future, your pride, your place - and they gave you enemies to blame.

But look at what it's costing you.

The constant rage. The isolation. The suspicion. The way every conversation becomes a battle. The way joy disappears and everything becomes about "us vs. them."

The people feeding you this ideology profit from your pain. They need you angry because anger keeps you obedient. It keeps you online. It keeps you disconnected from real human connection.

You do not have to carry that weight forever.

You are allowed to step away. You are allowed to admit that hatred did not heal you. You are allowed to rediscover empathy without becoming weak.

The immigrant you were taught to fear loves their family too. The person with a different religion feels fear too. The stranger online you call an enemy has laughed, cried, and suffered just like you.

Human beings are not replacements for one another. Pain is not a competition. Dignity is not something you protect by destroying others.

You can still choose a different life.

A quieter life. A fuller life. One where your identity is built on what you create, who you protect, and how deeply you care - not who you hate.

The hardest thing in the world is not fighting. It is opening your hand after living with a clenched fist for so long.

But you can do it.
