You can eat from both and be fine be eat eating veggies, nuts and animal products so long it comes from a natural source. Problem lies that most of the food which are in stores are either highly processed or high in sugar content. Second taking supplements such as multivitamins do not necessarily spike up nutrition inside your body because of bio availability; that's why they always tell you to variably eat from any, be it animal products, vegetables, nuts, grains etc.
