nigga, aslong as you have diamond or netherite armor with prot IV and other enchants then its balanced, taking resources aside, you could beat the most grindy players with skill if you have a good sword and good armor, in pvp the way you win is usually either by breaking armor or starving other players of gaps or by timing your crits very well, its not hard to grind for a stack of gaps and to get a prot IV villager, it just filters out the lazy niggas and the pvp kits jannies gave in the last tournament was shit

did you forget that egapples exist and that armor can be enchanted with mending which allows you to repair it with xp bottles

also ppl could just bring multiple armor sets

yea but its not possible to get alot of egapples without travelling a gorillion blocks, which nobody will do, at most someone might have like 6-14 egaps if theyre a serious grinder
